Why Pakistani-American Muslim vote for Jewish US candidate?

US Election Farrukh

Daily Point (Farrukh Warraich) – During his coverage of the US election, Farrukh Shahbaz Warraich encountered a Muslim American woman of Pakistani descent and asked who she planned to vote for. Her answer was unexpected—not Trump, not Kamala Harris, but Jill Stein, a Jewish candidate.

Reporting live from New York City, Warraich highlighted the election’s energy and interviewed an American citizen of Pakistani girl, who was born and raised in the US. This voter, breaking away from the traditional Trump-Harris debate, chose a candidate that Pakistani and foreign media often overlook, mentioning that she has voted Democrat twice before but is now considering an alternative.

Farrukh: “Who are you voting for?”

American Woman: “I’m voting for Jill Stein, a Jewish candidate from the Green Party.”

Farrukh: “Why the choice of something new?”

American Woman: “Jill Stein has always been there. Both the Democrats and Republicans have become mafia-like, a playground for the elite that doesn’t allow newcomers. In the past, I’ve voted for both parties, supporting Obama for my first 18 years, then Clinton, and later Joe Biden. Last time, I even voted for Trump. He’s very charismatic and speaks in a way that feels authentic, just like Imran Khan—a kind of magical, straightforward way.”

Farrukh: “What do you think are America’s biggest challenges, since you’ve grown up here?”

American Woman: “The biggest issues here include immigration, internal financial concerns, aid, and Medicare—problems directly affecting Americans. I’m voting for the Green Party because both Trump and Kamala’s parties are tied to AIPAC, which has strong links to Israel. As a Muslim American, I feel there’s a genocide happening in Gaza and Lebanon. Biden and Trump both support this conflict—Trump even openly aligns with it, and Biden has been involved in funding. That’s why I’m supporting and voting for the Green Party.”

Farrukh: “Do you think the Gaza conflict is influencing voters and affecting people’s perspectives?”

American Woman: “In the past, Black issues were the primary concern, but no one supports genocide. Yes, this issue is definitely affecting people’s thinking.”

Farrukh: “Why do you think the American media isn’t covering the candidate you’re supporting?”

American Woman: “It’s all propaganda. The Democrats and Republicans pour billions into media and funding, while the Green Party, despite being led by a Jewish candidate who opposes war and stands against Israel’s actions, doesn’t get coverage because of limited resources.”
