LAHORE (Daily Point) – YouTube has introduced new regulations pertaining to content generated using artificial intelligence (AI), mandating creators to disclose if they have employed generative AI to produce realistic videos.

In a blog post, YouTube outlined that creators who do not disclose the use of AI tools for videos that are “altered or synthetic” could be subject to penalties, including content removal or suspension from revenue-sharing programs.

While recognising the creative possibilities of generative AI, YouTube underscores the importance of maintaining a balance between opportunities and responsibility to safeguard the YouTube community.

The policy updates are designed to promote transparency and ensure the ethical utilization of AI in content creation on the platform. This move aligns with YouTube’s commitment to fostering a responsible and accountable environment for content creators and consumers alike.
