Lahore park transforms into Singaporean-style zoo

LAHORE (Daily Point) — Interim Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid a visit to Lahore Safari Park, announcing a comprehensive transformation of the Safari Zoo into a Singaporean-style facility. Naqvi officially initiated the upgrade project at Raiwind Safari Park, emphasizing that the 244-acre Safari Zoo Park would undergo a redesign modeled after Singapore Safari Park.

During a media address, Naqvi disclosed plans to introduce new animals to the safari park, revealing ongoing discussions with China to obtain pandas for the facility.

Touching upon the recent Bahawalpur incident, the Chief Minister expressed concern over a young man entering a restricted area out of his passion for creating videos. He attributed the incident at Bahawalpur Zoo to the youth’s negligence.

Before the safari park visit, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi assessed the progress of the road connecting Gujranwala to the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway. Naqvi highlighted the significance of the Gujranwala Expressway, anticipating its completion to reduce travel time between Lahore and Gujranwala to just 45 minutes, offering modern travel facilities along the route.
