LAHORE (Daily Point) — After Tiktoker Sandal Khattak and comedy singer Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, actress Noor Bukhari is set to enter the political arena by contesting in the 2024 general elections on the ticket of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party.
According to Aaj News, Noor has submitted her nomination papers for the PP-163 seat in the Punjab assembly. She holds the third position for a reserved seat on the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party’s list, led by Jahangir Tareen. The party was formed after Tareen’s departure from Imran Khan’s PTI, following his removal as prime minister through a vote of no-confidence.
Noor Bukhari, a former Pakistani film actress and model, initiated her successful acting career in films, featuring in numerous blockbuster movies alongside prominent stars of her time.
Known for her personal life, including marriages and relationships, Noor faced public scrutiny. However, she underwent a significant transformation by leaving showbiz for Islam. Noor has remarried the father of her daughter, Aun Chaudhary, and is now dedicated to her role as a mother to her children.
