MG unveils new electric hypercar that accelerates from 0-100 KM/h under 2 seconds

MG Electric Hypercar

MG is set to dazzle at Auto China 2024 with its groundbreaking reveal—the EXE181 electric hypercar concept.

Drawing from the legacy of the MG EX181 that set a land speed record in 1957, this avant-garde concept aims to push the envelope in automotive design and performance.

Designed for aerodynamic excellence, the MG EXE181 showcases a distinctive teardrop profile that ensures optimal aerodynamic efficiency. With an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.181, it outperforms both its predecessors and competitors, establishing a new standard in aerodynamics. This places it ahead of rivals like the Volkswagen XL1 and the Mercedes Vision EQXX.

Under its elegant skin, the EXE181 houses a formidable performance package, driven by four electric motors—one for each wheel. Although exact details are still under wraps, MG suggests a power output of over 1,000 horsepower. This immense power enables the EXE181 to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 1.9 seconds, putting it on par with hypercars like the Rimac Nevera.

The interior of the EXE181 showcases innovative design, featuring a yoke-style steering wheel with an integrated touchscreen. While production specifics are yet to be confirmed, MG’s concept points towards a future where state-of-the-art technology harmoniously blends with automotive luxury.

While the MG EXE181 is currently a concept, its bold design and performance capabilities offer a tantalizing glimpse into the future of electric hypercars. With ambitions to surpass the record-setting top speed of its predecessor, the EX181, MG’s latest masterpiece is set to challenge industry giants and redefine automotive excellence.
