WASHINGTON (Daily Point) — The Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is introducing an upgraded feature for its desktop client, as reported by WABetaInfo.
The latest addition, called “chat filter,” aims to enhance user experience by providing improved organization and management of chats. Currently, it is in the process of being released to selected beta testers using the updated version of WhatsApp Web.
Displayed in a screenshot, a new row has been added at the top of the chat list screen, offering essential filters for users to categorize their conversations effectively.
This feature introduces new filters like “Unread,” “Contacts,” and “Groups” to simplify the administration and arrangement of WhatsApp Web conversations. Placed at the top of the chat list screen, this row allows users to swiftly access specific chat categories.
It’s worth noting that customers who have previously enrolled in the official web client beta program now have access to this function, providing them with special capabilities.
The rollout of this feature is expected to extend to more users in the coming days.
