Guide: Step-by-step on utilising WhatsApp’s Meta AI chatbot

Meta AI chatbot

Meta, led by Mark Zuckerberg, has been hinting at its AI chatbot for its applications since the announcement of AI stickers for WhatsApp users in certain regions last year.

Now, WhatsApp’s Meta AI chatbot is widely accessible to users, providing a similar experience to other chatbots but within a familiar app. Interacting with it is as straightforward as conversing with another person.

However, activation is necessary before utilizing it for chatting or generating images. So, how can you accomplish that?

How to activate Meta AI on WhatsApp

To activate Meta AI on WhatsApp, simply tap on the new Meta AI logo at the bottom right corner of the screen. Then, proceed to accept Meta’s terms and conditions before initiating conversations.

Once Meta’s terms are accepted, accessing Meta AI is as simple as engaging in any other WhatsApp chat by clicking on the new logo above the chat button.

It’s worth noting that Meta AI may not provide the option to disable data sharing, unlike some other AI models.

How to chat with Meta AI

When it comes to chatting with Meta AI, users familiar with AI chatbots like Google Gemini or ChatGPT may find the interface intuitive. The chatbot accommodates inquiries on various topics, from restaurant recommendations to complex queries, delivering suitable responses based on its model.

To generate an image using Meta AI, employ the slash command /imagine [image prompt]. There’s a daily limit of 25 image generations, although this may vary beyond the initial testing phase. Despite potential limitations, Meta AI’s image generation is swift and can be enjoyable for experimentation, even if it occasionally falls short like some other models.

Meta AI on WhatsApp is a complimentary addition, requiring no payment for use.
