LAHORE (Daily Point) — In a significant development, prominent politicians in the country have declared their intentions to run in the upcoming elections and have initiated the process of submitting their nomination papers.

Nawaz Sharif has chosen Mansehra as his electoral battleground, filing nomination papers for NA 15 Mansehra. Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif is set to contest from both Karachi (NA 242) and Lahore (NA 123), having submitted his nomination papers for these constituencies.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman of the People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari are eyeing electoral participation from Larkana. Zardari submitted his nomination papers for Nawab Shah 207, while Bilawal is in the running for NA 194 Larkana.

Former chairman of PTI, Imran Khan, is gearing up for a multi-constituency challenge, with plans to contest elections from Mianwali, Lahore, and Islamabad. Jahangir Khan Tareen, leading the Pakistan Stability Party, has announced his candidacy for Lodhran and Multan, having submitted nomination papers for NA 155, PP 227, and 228.

In a strategic move, Mustafa Kamal of MQM (Pakistan) has submitted nomination papers for NA 242 Karachi, pitting himself against Shahbaz Sharif. Additionally, there are expectations that Chairman PTI Gohar Khan and Pervez Khattak will enter the electoral fray from Nowshera.

The process of collecting and submitting nomination papers by various politicians from across the country is currently underway, setting the stage for a dynamic and competitive electoral landscape in the upcoming elections.”
