RIYADH (Daily Point) — The Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment revealed on Wednesday that Saudi Arabia is seeking around 2,000 personal drivers in various cities throughout 2024.

Aspiring Pakistani candidates can connect with recruiters through the bureau’s website to obtain additional details about these job opportunities.

The roles, situated in different cities of the kingdom, offer salaries ranging from SAR1,000 (Rs75,200) to a maximum of SAR1,800 (Rs135,360). Some positions also come with additional benefits such as free accommodation, food, tickets, medical coverage, health insurance, and complimentary transportation.

Personal drivers, often employed by companies or high-net-worth individuals, are responsible for transporting clients between destinations. These chauffeurs commonly operate luxury vehicles.

In addition to personal drivers, Pakistani nationals have the option to apply for approximately 2,895 heavy truck driver positions available throughout Saudi Arabia. Salaries for these roles vary from SAR1,200 (Rs90,240) to SAR2,200 (Rs165,440), and benefits encompass transportation, accommodation, and health insurance.

It’s noteworthy that Saudi Arabia has consistently been a significant source of workers’ remittances for Pakistan, surpassing other Middle Eastern and European countries. In November 2023 alone, Pakistani expatriates in Saudi Arabia sent a total remittance of $540.3 million back home.
