RIYAD (Daily Point) — Saudi Arabia’s Two Holy Mosques authorities have introduced advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), at the Grand Mosque to improve guidance services for visitors and pilgrims.

As per the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), 52 screens, covering a total area of 279 square meters, have been strategically placed inside and outside the Grand Mosque, operating 24/7. The General Authority for the Affairs oversees content dissemination through these screens, with a specialized team of scholars curating material for relevance.

Content is translated into multiple languages to cater to diverse linguistic backgrounds, and screens are strategically located at entrances, exits, courtyards, and roads leading to the Grand Mosque, providing comprehensive coverage.

As part of the initiative, an AI-guidance robot has been introduced on digital screens. This interactive robot assists pilgrims by offering essential brochures and publications to facilitate their religious rituals. The robot provides informative content that users can access and share via mobile phones, enhancing the overall experience for visitors at the Grand Mosque.
