Apple is reportedly gearing up to introduce significant camera enhancements to its iPhone 16 series, particularly for the Pro and Pro Max models, according to a recent report from a reliable Chinese tipster on Weibo.
The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max is rumored to feature an enhanced 48MP ultrawide camera, while the Pro variant is said to receive a new 5x Tetraprism telephoto module.
These leaks align with earlier predictions made by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who hinted at a 5x zoom camera for the iPhone 16 Pro. Speculation about the Pro Max’s upgraded ultrawide shooter has been circulating since October of last year.
Additionally, the latest leak suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro Max won’t see any improvements in terms of zoom capabilities, potentially resulting in both Pro models boasting similar zoom capabilities, unless Apple introduces additional software features for the Pro Max.
On another front, expectations for the next iteration of the budget-friendly iPhone SE series, the SE 4, are mixed. Reports indicate a possible price increase in 2025, with projections suggesting a cost of around $499, compared to its predecessor’s $429 price tag. This purported hike is attributed to rumors suggesting that the iPhone SE 4 will draw inspiration from the design and features of the iPhone 14, potentially offering a larger screen, improved battery life, and enhanced camera capabilities.
However, it’s essential to note that none of these details have been officially confirmed, so it’s advisable to approach them with caution.
