X introduces audio, video calls

(Daily Point) — X, Elon Musk’s social media platform, is launching a new update for Android users that brings audio and video conversation capabilities. This feature is included in the premium package available to users who update the app.

To manage these new features, users can navigate to the app settings, specifically within the Privacy and Safety section under Direct Messages. Here, users can easily toggle the option to enable or disable audio and video calling.

The update introduces added flexibility, allowing users to choose from three groups – contacts, followed users, and verified users – who are authorized to make calls to them. This gives users more control over their communication experience.

X has been actively expanding its feature set, including the recent introduction of a basic paid tier targeted at verified organizations. Priced at $200 per month or $2,000 per year, this tier offers benefits such as a gold check-mark badge and ad credits. These developments underscore X’s commitment to improving user experience and broadening its offerings in the social media landscape.
